Rubix has finalised its acquisition of Technidis, a regional leader in the distribution of tooling and general maintenance products and services in one of France’s main industrial zones.

With 140 employees, sales of some €30 million, and seven branch offices, the company also brings welding, PPE and lifting expertise to Rubix’s existing offering in the Nantes, St Nazaire and western regions of France.

Founded in 1920 in St Nazaire, the company had been owned by the Lory family since 1985. Tanguy Lory, President of Technidis, will remain with the company to ensure a smooth transition period.

Commenting on the acquisition, Franck Voisin, Chairman and CEO of Rubix in France, said: “I am delighted to welcome this well-known and respected company to Rubix. With a strong presence in regional manufacturing industries, the team will help strengthen our presence in the region.

Mr Lory added: “This is a momentous event for our company and a pledge for the long term that will enable us to pursue our growth and enhance the offering we can provide to our customers, thanks to the range of products and the availability that come from being part of the Rubix group, as well as the wide range of value-added services.”
